On February 16th, 2018, Hot Club Sandwich released ‘No Pressure’, the group's fifth recording, and the second for Acoustic Oasis [BUY]. For this new recording, we have the great honor of welcoming a guest appearance from master mandolinist David Grisman on several songs. "Swang Thang", the first tune on the record was written by the Dawg himself. The cover art was painted by Tracy Grisman, and she also sings the final song, a striking version of “St. James Infirmary”. The title track, "No Pressure", was composed by the bands guitarist Ray Wood and Vann Cantin, his songwriting partner. We hope everyone gets to hear this recording, and we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make 'No Pressure' come alive.

“The open-minded group may serve up a blend of jazz, bolero, and folk, but feel just as comfortable following a Hoagy Carmichael song with a Peruvian waltz... they invited longtime friend David Grisman to produce and the result is a record that stirs the musical pot with dynamic instrumental interplay.” - Tara Joan, No Depression 2/11/18

“Hot Club Sandwich is a string band made up of some of the most consummate musicians in the Pacific Northwest. Its members take pride in their knowledge of the great jazz and orchestral movements that spread across nationwide, alongside their more local musical history.”
